We did the first 2025, v3.43 revision of MoneyBooks General Ledger, implementing copying of the closing balance amount on the Account Balance Lookup form, for pasting elsewhere, and also addressing inability to save imported CSV bank transactions that have no check number values. Later in the month, the GL transaction copying database code was slightly revised.

1116. Revision of the Website Statistics submodule of MoneyBooks Data Manager was begun, completed the following day with building of the first 2025 executable as v3.51. We replaced the before-delete trigger with an after-delete due to an error it generated. Other changes to MBDM during the month, ending with v3.55, include:

• Importing, saving and then display of monthly summaries from a second website statistics index html file that we didn’t examine initially. It displays 12 months with their total statistics, like in the orange screenshot above. This file was actually the starting point from where the monthly summary html files were opened, and it was what the Webalizer tool itself opened first.
• Ensuring that commission invoice receipt records were not duplicated.
• Implementing sort order for user tables, the first of several new features to be worked on. Others are introducing Yr, Mth and Day columns for grouping and querying purposes, computed from the first date column of a table, introducing a new date and time data type, introducing current date/time default values, setting defaults during table creation as well as during data entry, enhancing the code for saving the display layout of a user table grid and form.
• Revising and creating phone call triggers to address non-existing phone accounts, while adding or modifying records.

1142. We put finishing touches to the Printwiser v10.5 upgrade work, finalizing the upgrade documentation, uploading a zip of it with the installer, emailing the client.

1164. The first 2025, v1.66 revision of Gerian Assistant was done, adjusting the Bookmark List so the year, month, day and create date columns display first. Later in the month, a minor revision was implemented, issuing a commit for the summary table of the HIDDEN Form when update was successfully done; this was to address loss of last-updated values that was observed when the program crashed while saving the first word of a new game.

1234. We took advantage of an offer to download and install a free version of WinXVideo AI version 3.0, applied the free registration code, and were able to use it to download a YouTube video, much easier than using Libre AV Converter. The free registration code has to be applied before February 14, 2025. Being an old version, it went to their website to prompt for upgrading to be done, but we had to ignore this, due to an earlier experience where an application stopped working after being upgraded.

We also investigated the maximum PowerBuilder string and SQL text (long varchar) length possible, finding it to be 2 GB (2,147,483,647 bytes). The 32,766 max value specified by default for text columns in PowerBuilder datawindow objects could actually be increased manually using the code editor.

1256. Since SFI suspended its Localvantia program several months ago, we have been noticing that people were still visiting our LVReg web application, despite its removal from the menu of our website. So we began revising the application, setting up a suspended service page to display on the web. This was completed the next day, with uploading to server of one new and two changed code files.

Recall the abnormal traffic situation at our website that we reported last month? A more permanent preventive solution has been implemented, so the public URL of our Online Shop has been reinstated.

1293. Work on domain name hosting renewal for a web client was started, and concluded the following day.
