1602280. One issue Printwiser users had to deal with before now was the Windows short date format being month before day rather than day before month. This was because most computers came from places like USA where such format was in use. Long ago, on a form where no d/m format was specifically set for editing a date field, when a user attempted to enter a date like 13/1 (January 13) the application would simply crash. This was later handled by giving the user an error message. The user would have to type in 1/13 and on leaving the field, Printwiser would display it as 13/01. This could result in confusion some times, like assuming the user typed 3/1 with a valid month but intending January 1, it would get reversed to 1/3 (March 1) afterward. The solution of course was to change the Windows short date format, usually M/d/yyyy in such cases, to d/M/yyyy, outside of Printwiser. With most users not having the know-how to do this, a final solution was required. With the latest revision of Printwiser, version 7.54, this has now been provided. In the System module, there is now a Set Date Format command on the Tool menu to do the change within the application. Another handy feature in Printwiser 7.54, along with the main Time Rate Calculator implementation, was the filtering lookup form for materials and labor. The standard lookup form required clicking the Go button repeatedly to see the next matches. But now the list will be filtered to show all matches immediately like in MoneyBooks, so no more clicking Go repeatedly.

1602265. Printwiser now sports a Time Rate Calculator, for assisting estimators and accountants in setting up labor rates in the Estimating module. It incorporates several variables like resource cost or present value, the acquisition expenses, monthly running cost, life span, monthly working hours, all of which contribute to determining the hourly rate for any resource.

1602232. Would you believe 131004596994128850 represents a date and time, in this case 5:35pm on February 20, 2016? This is how the Microsoft “contacts+message backup” Windows Phone app records time stamps in the backup file for text messages. We are presently writing code to transfer SMS from the backup .msg file to the MoneyBooks Data Manager database, for easier reference.
